I have to write what I hear in my head, what I dream in my sleep, what my bones ache to express.

cousins

“cousins” has been calling to me, so here’s a bit of what I’ve got:



it’s a sudden pain

a surprise

sleeps at night

wakes each morning

 

its cousin is constant

abiding
