why write?

I have to write what I hear in my head, what I dream in my sleep, what my bones ache to express.

My poems tell stories of strength, love, regret, disobedience, loss, hope, redemption, and whatever whispers.

fight club

“fight club” is a wild poem that I’m still working through.  Here are two stanzas:

flowers hum

their song an electric sander zing

electric saw whine

fauna flicker

ravenous ravens cough up hairballs

their belly aortas throb

sunrise,

a Pelican carry case

sweeps towards sunset’s maelstrom
